CFDS Grant Proposal • Why we chose NHTSA • mission statement • Unsolicited Proposal • Proposal Guidelines • requirements • evaluation procedures
Description of the basic research problem • To selectively control the environment • control acceleration of a criminals vehicle • Background Information • problems with current methods • Identify the problem • statistics on deaths, injuries, and property damage • Revised version of problem description from functional specifications
Scope of the proposed research • How the project has changed • reduced budget, smaller scale of requirements • Why we chose to scale down the project • greater chance of getting funded • prove the validity of our project in steps
Method of solution to be used • Detailed description of CFDS • Revised version of Problem Solution from functional specifications
Evaluation method to be used to measure degree of success • Testing Methods - • Module testing, Unit Testing, Regression Testing, System Testing • Amount of testing • Measuring degree of success • reporting results

Prototype Presentation • Brief Review
Prototype PresentationWhat we will show • Selectively choose the appropriate vehicle • Controlled process in the multiple vehicle scenario • Process from the dispatcher to the stopping of the criminals vehicle • Extra safety measure by requiring multi-user interface
Prototype PresentationWhat we will not show • Access to national database • Signaling • High Speed Chase implementation • Outside Interference • Integration with the vehicles onboard systems • Legal ramifications
Prototype PresentationExpectations • Multi-user Security Feature • Ability to select in both Single and Multiple vehicle environment • Safety feature of not entirely disabling the vehicle
Prototype PresentationRisks that are Reduced • Misuse • Improper selection of target vehicle Click Here to see Sample
