Planning of the research • Research took place in Šiauliai special education center. • Duration – 8 weeks. • 5 children, 6 – 11 years old, with physical disability. • Duration of one procedure – 20min., 3 times per week. • Exercises for quadriceps femoris, hamstrings and abdominal muscles strength. Conclusions • Because of sling exercise therapy gross motor functions of children with physical disability were better. • Increase of walking distance shows that there was also increase of physical endurance. • These exercises helped to increase range of motion of hip and knee joints.
