Problem/Hypothesis Problem: Will plants grow better under cloth or plastic? Hypothesis: If the cloth is covering the lettuce, then, it will grow fast and be healthy.
Lettuce Growth in cm Plastic Cloth
Conclusion Our hypothesis was incorrect. It turned out that instead of growing better under the cloth, It grew better under the plastic. Compared to the lettuce under the cloth, the lettuce under the plastic seemed like Jack’s beanstalk.
Analysis In the process of this experiment, we learned that lettuce, or plants as a whole, grow better under plastic than cloth. In the future when growing lettuce in the Winter, we will, from this experiment, know to cover the plants with plastic.
Personal Reflections Irina-Lettuce can get frostbite. Justice-Lettuce grows better under plastic than under cloth. Helen-Growing lettuce is harder than it seems. Talia-Lettuce can grow in the Winter. Claire-Lettuce doesn’t grow as fast in the Winter as it does in other seasons.
