The first line describes the subject of the book. QC32= Physic textbook 2. The second line often represents the author's surname and cutter number – P668 3. The last line indicates the date of publication. QC32 .P668 2009

Where is it on the shelf? Write down the call number and the location: Open Shelf, Reference, Red-spot, etc QC32 .P668 2009 QC32 – Physic textbook P668 – Surname and cutter number 2009 - year of pub.
Library Catalogue = WEBPAC Subject Search A subject search can be a useful approach when you do not have a specific author or title in mind but you have a general idea of the topic you would like to research. For example, type in “pollution" and then click on the search box for "SUBJECT”.
