Audience: Sophomore English majors in a speech class at the English dept. at Fu Jen, Taiwan. 20 out of 26 students expressed anxiety over giving a public speech in evaluation or in-class sharing.
Occasion Analysis: • Venue: A classroom with a screen, but without a computer or a projector • Time: After the pre-course assessment done in the first meeting. • Occasion: This speech shall follow students’ presentations of their diagnosis speeches, which aim to help them design progress plans for their future speaking career.
