GEOMETRICAL SHAPES • The study of Geometry starts from Geometrical shapes.Children should be encouraged to observe several solids around them which may be of different shapes and sizes.Here ,we are going to present our presentation on four solids, namely sphere, cylinder, cuboid or cube and cone.

  3. SPHERE SPHERE face A sphere has only 1 face,no edges,no corners.

  4. CYLINDER CYLINDER A cylinder has 3 faces, 1 curved face and 2 flat faces.It has 2 edges, no corners. face face edge

  5. CONE A cone has 1 edge, 2 faces , and 1 corner. corner face edge face

  6. CUBOID A cuboid has 12 edges, 8 corners, 6 faces

  7. BASIC SHAPES The basic shapes are square,rectangle,Triangle,and circle.

  8. SQUARE side A square has four equal sides.

  9. RECTANGLE side side A rectangle has equal and opposite sides.

  10. CIRCLE A circle has no sides.

  11. EVALUATION Fill in the blanks 1.A sphere has no edges. 2.A cylinder has 3 faces. 3.A cuboid has 8 corners. A cone has 1 corner. A triangle has 3 sides.
