أه .... من شجرة التين ... يا خوفي ويا رُعبي من هذا اليوم ...

2. أه .... من شجرة التين ... يا خوفي ويا رُعبي من هذا اليوم ... ليتك لا تأتي سريعاً لتبحث عن الثمر ... فأنا يا رب لم اُثمر بعد ... Oh …. from the fig tree …. This day frightens and terrifies me …. I wish You would not come that quick to search for the fruits … for I am not fruitful yet my Lord…

3. قد تجد فيَ ورقاً أخضر ... منظر قوي ... محبة من الناس ... نجاحاً وإستقراراً ... لكني أعلم أن هذا ليس ما تنتظره .... يارب لا تأتي إلا حينما يكون هناك ثمر ... You may find in me green leaves … an eye taking strong looking … peoples’ admiration … success and stability… But I know this is not what You are waiting for… My Lord please do not come unless there are some fruits …

4. اعطني العمر كي أتوب ... واعطني الإرادة كي أتغير ... اعطني فرصة ... ومعها نعمة ومعونة لأني عاجز جداً ... Grant me life to repent …. And grant me the will to change … Give me a chance... & with it, give me grace and assistance for I am so helpless ….

5. يارب ... أحلم أن أصير شجرة مغروسة عند مجاري المياة .... " فيكون كشجرة مغروسة عند مجاري المياه التي تعطي ثمرها في اوانه... " (مز1 : 3) My Lord … I dream of becoming a tree that is planted by the rivers “He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season...” (Ps 1 : 3)

6. شجرة مُثمرة في جنة مُغلقة .... " اختي العروس جنة مغلقة عين مقفلة ينبوع مختوم ” (نش4 : 12) I dream of being a fruitful tree in a closed up spring … “ A garden enclosed Is my sister, my spouse, A spring shut up, A fountain sealed ” (Sol 4 : 12)

7. يارب ... لا أطمع في مئة ثمر ... يكفيني أن أكون من الثلاثين أو الستين ... ولكن لا تأخذني إلا حينما تجد فيَ ثمراً. My Lord …. I do not desire for hundred fruits …. It satisfies me becoming one of the thirty or sixty … But please do not take me unless You find fruits in me. Father Daoud Lamei
