  2. Biohazard • Biohazardous materials are present. Wear gloves and dispose of them properly. Wash your hands after handling. • Examples: blood, animal tissues, viruses, bacertia

  3. Corrosive • Corrosive chemicals, such as acids, are present. Do not inhale the fumes or get the chemical on skin or clothing. Wear safety glasses glasses.

  4. Flammable/Combustible • A chemical or material is flammable or combustible. These materials should be kept away from sparks and open flames.

  5. No Food or Drink • No food or drink allowed in lab.

  6. Poisonous/Toxic • Poisonous or toxic materials are present. Avoid contact with skin and wear gloves and safety glasses. Keep under a fume hood. Dispose of properly and wash hands.

  7. Radiation • Radioactive energy is emitted from a piece of equipment (like x-rays). Exposure to radiation should be minimized and monitored.
