Typical Daily Schedule • Opener • Correct HW • HW score should be written on their HW calendar • Should a student earn ZAP, he/she is required to get a parent signature • Complete warm-up • Answer Homework Questions • Lesson • Students will not always receive notes • Students will always have time to practice new material • Lessons will incorporate higher-level thinking skills

Homework Policy • There will be homework almost every night • HW will not be assigned the day that we take a test • Lunchtime HW help • Homework is checked on a daily basis • ZAP for students who did not complete assignment • ZAP for students who did not earn 70% or higher • Homework is collected the day of the Chapter test • All late homework receives 50% credit

  6. Assignments – 30% • Homework • Class Work • PSs • Tests and Quizzes – 70% • Quizzes • Unit Tests Grading Policy Grades are calculated using a weighted average of these two categories.

Classroom Rules and Consequences Rules Consequences Show up on time Be prepared for class Participate Maintain behavior that enables all to learn • Zap • If student does not do HW assignment • Honor Card Mark • Detention • Lunch detention Thursday • After-school detention on Friday • Administrative Referral

Important Information • Attendance • Missing class means students miss skills • Absentee Packets • Students are responsible for picking their packet up in the office ASAP • They must remember to turn in work, we won’t remind them • Checking Student Progress • Check your child’s HW calendar and agenda daily • Check Zangle frequently • Tutoring Hours • Thursday from 2:50-3:50 • Please arrange for your student to be picked up at 3:50
