SOLUTION FOR VIDEO-CONFERENCING ANSN has procured the CISCO WebEx Meeting Center solution to host online meetings. WebEx is a web-based service and can be used from any computer (Windows, Mac, Linux or Solaris) – as well as your iPhone, Blackberry, or any other Wi-Fi or 3G-enabled mobile device. Following objectives can be achieved using CISCO WebEx video-conferencing solution Collaborate more effectively among geographically dispersed ANSN community. Collaborate among other regional networks online. Meet anywhere, anytime on any device like desktop, laptop, mobile device or tablet. Make online meetings truly engaging and productive using high-definition video. Minimum requirements: High resolution camera for better video quality. Headphones (strictly recommended) for better audio quality. Microphones. Adequate internet bandwidth is a must. Minimum 56K or higher.
SOLUTION FOR VIDEO-CONFERENCING ANSN has conducted several test runs with help of ITSG members, in almost all ANSN member states. SATG conducted real time video-conferencing sessions using WebEx since 2011. SATG Webinar on “Critical Flow Modelling & BE LOCA Analysis”, Korea (Webinar), 19 - 21 July 2011 ANSN/SATG Web-based Seminar (Webinar) on Heat Transfer Modelling for RELAP5 Basic Exercise, 20-22 December 2011, VIC ANSN also conducted video-conferencing sessions during the 14th SC meeting, 15th SC meeting with KINS, Korea ANSN also conducted a video-conferencing session during the 1st GNSSN SC meeting with GRS, Germany.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS • Necessary hardware requirements: • For Windows: • Windows 98, Me, NT, 2000 SP4, XP SP2, 2003 R2, or Vista. • Intel x86 (Pentium 400MHZ +) or compatible processor. • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, Firefox 1.5 or higher, Mozilla 1.7 or higher, , or Netscape 8.1 or higher. • JavaScript and cookies must be enabled. • Recommend ActiveX be enabled for Internet Explorer. • For Mac OS: • Mac OS 10.3 or 10.4 (Intel or PowerPC processor) • Safari 2.0 (Mac OS 10.4), Safari 1.3 (Mac OS 10.3) • Firefox 1.5 or higher (2.0 or higher recommended) • JavaScript and cookies need to be enabled. • Requires Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 or higher. • For Solaris: • Solaris 9 (SPARC), 10 (SPARC/x86) • Java Plug-In 1.3.1 or later. • Firefox 1.5 or higher, Mozilla 1.7 or higher. • JavaScript and cookies need to be enabled. • Requires Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 or higher. • For Linux: • Kernel: 2.4.21 or above. • X Lib: X11R6 or above compatible. • C++ Lib: libstdc++ 5. • Desktop Environment: XFce 4.0 or above, KDE, Ximian, Gnome. • GDK/GTK+ version: 2.0 or above, Glib: 2.0 or above, Sun Java 1.5 or above. • OSS Interface (for Audio) • Firefox 1.5 or higher or Mozilla 1.7 or higher. • JavaScript and cookies need to be enabled.
SALIENT FEATURES Some of the salient features available via Webinar are as follows: Document, application and desktop sharing. Interactive multimedia experience. Integrated video. Active speaker. Meeting recording, editing and playback. Desktop Integration Suite. One-click meeting access. Cross platform support. Languages supported English, Spanish, Brazilian, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Japanese, Korean and Chinese (simplified and traditional) No concept of user based licenses; as control can be restricted using ANSN user access levels. Security of the data over the network.
HOW TO SUBMIT REQUEST FOR ONLINE MEETING ? Requests for online video-conferencing meetings need to be submitted in the centralised ANSN website. Requests can be submitted by Level 2 users. Interface to submit requests available within each topical group page. Important details for meeting request: Objectives Time Zone Attendees email addresses Relevant documents Record meeting Workflow: Approval of requests by IAEA PMO, based on objectives provided. Respective ITSG member notified on approval of meeting. ANSN administrator to schedule meeting in WebEx interface. Attendees notified on approval by IAEA PMO; link to join meeting included in notification. ITSG members to coordinate during actual video-conferencing sessions.
HOW TO SUBMIT REQUEST FOR ONLINE MEETING ? Request meeting
ROLE OF ITSG MEMBERS • ITSG members can coordinate efforts for implementation of the video conferencing meetings in respective ANSN member states in the following manner: • Act as a technical support unit for respective ANSN member states. • Be a focal point of contact during the real time video conferencing sessions in a particular ANSN member state time zone. • Report on performance issues and potential bottlenecks during online video conferencing sessions proactively (tools to facilitate this will be provided) • Assist in performance tuning.
INTEGRATION WITH NATIONAL CENTRE WEBSITES • ANSN national centre websites can consider leveraging CISCO WebEx solution for video-conferencing sessions. • ANSN national centre websites provide interface to request for online meetings. • Upon request for meeting, email notifications are send to ANSN administrator as well as relevant ITSG member. • No intervention of IAEA PMO. But instead approval by the respective SC member. • ANSN administrator schedules meeting in CISCO website and invite is send to the attendees. • ITSG members coordinate during the actual sessions. • Details for interface same as centralised ANSN website.
