Monday: Procedures and Organization • Starter- 10 Tiles • Follow Up: • Label/Set up Notebook: Syllabus, Bucket List, Scavenger, Hunt, Integer Title Pg, PreTest, I can statements, Vocab Cards, Number Line Notes • Create Integer title page for notebooks (1 song!-Glue) • Check and Glue PreTest • Network Sheet- I Can…Statements • Vocab Cards-Sort and Glue • Lesson: The Number Line (PPT) *if time remains • Closure: Assign HW- Worksheet (BIM 33R)or finish Vocab Sort (above) (GLUE HW IN NOTEBOOK!!!!!!)

  3. Tuesday: The Number Line! • Starter- 10 Tiles • Math Minute: Math Journal-Integers and Sports! • Follow Up: Check HW- HW Huddle-GLUE! • Lesson: The Number Line PPT • Activity: Human Number Line • Closure : Exit Ticket-Number Line/Assign HW

Wednesday: Absolute Value • Starter- 10 Tiles/ Give out workbooks • Math Minute : Basic Skills • Follow Up: Check Homework (GLUE!) • Lesson: Absolute Value White Board(Pearson Link in Integer Folder) and www.bigideasmath.com lesson tutorials • Activity: Game Closet-Right on Target or Blue Book • Closure: I Can Statements…Number Line-HW: Worksheet (BIM5R)(GLUE!!!)

Thursday: Adding Integers • Starter-10 Tiles • Math Minute: Math Journal Topic • Follow Up: Homework Huddle (Glue) • Lesson: Adding Integers (Pearson Link in Integer Folder) and www.bigideasmath.com lesson tutorials • Activity: Dry Erase Boards • Closure: • 4 Corners Formative Assessment (Absolute Value/ + integers) • Assign HW- Student Workbook 1.2

Row Your Boat To Adding Integers! • Addition Rules • sung to Row-Row-Row Your Boat • Method - Using the melody of "Row, Row, Row, Your Boat" give the students the following words: • "Same Sign, add and keep, • different sign, subtract. • Take the sign of the higher number, • then it’ll be exact!" • Explain that “higher number” means higher absolute value. Continue with the melody, singing (and maybe dancing around the room)! Get the students to sing along and keep repeating it.

Friday: Adding and Subtracting Integers • Starter-10 Tiles • Math Minute: Basic Skills • Follow Up: Check Homework • Formative Assessment: Adding Integers with Round the Room Rotation Integer Word Problems • Lesson: Subtracting Integers- Introduce(Pearson Link in Integer Folder) and www.bigideasmath.com lesson tutorials • Activity: I can statements sheet: Number Line, Absolute Value, Adding Integers • Closure: Electric Slide and Store, TGIF- NO HOMEWORK!!
