Project Description • This project has four main functions • 1)Record data coming in from the IchannelLeftin variable • 2)Play back the data and reset once max recording is achieved. • 3)Play data in reverse creating a song playing backwards and the theme to the project BACKMASKING. • Erases all recorded data.
Backmasking Description • Backmasking (also known as backward masking)is a recording technique in which a sound or message is recorded backward onto a track that is meant to be played forward. Backmasking is a deliberate process, whereas a message found through phonetic reversal may be unintentional. • Backmasking was popularized by The Beatles, who used backward vocals and instrumentation on their 1966 album Revolver.Artists have since used backmasking for artistic, comedic, and satiric effect, on both analog and digital recordings. The technique has also been used to censor words or phrases for "clean" releases of songs.
Problems • Finding how to Record data. • Creating the right conditions. • Initializing the SDRAM(couldn’t find slides). • Adding new things on the effect really didn’t work out very well.
