  18. Practice • Beginning academic goal: Get good grades • Specific: Who, why • Why do you want these good grades, why is it important? • Measurable: what • What are good grades? These differ among people. • All A’s? Maybe B’s and C’s? • Attainable: • How far off is your goal from where you are now? Do you possess the skills? • Realistic: • Are you committed to the goal? Is it something you can accomplish? • Time sensitive: • When will you know you are done? What is the stopping point? • Ending academic goal: I will earn all A’s during the fall 2013 semester.
