Climate • semi-tropical • there are many palm trees and beaches.
Grifith Observatory The observatory is a popular tourist attraction with an extensive array of space- and science-related displays.
Los Angeles City Hall • built in 1928 • the concrete in its tower was made using sand from each of the 58 counties of California and water from each of the 21 missions.
UCLA • The University of California Los Angeles has the largest enrollment of any university in the state. • Over 33,000 students attend UCLA.
Chinese Theatre • movie theatre on Hollywood Boulevard • along Hollywood walk of Fame • built in 1927 • There are nearly 200 Hollywood celebrity handprints, footprints, and autographs in the concrete of the theater's forecourt.

WALK OF FAME • - a pavement along Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA - serves as an entertainment museum - is embedded with more than 2,000 five-pointed stars featuring the names of human celebrities but and also fictional characters - chosen by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for their contributions to the entertainment industry.
