Student work • Avatar Evacuation inside an airplane using multi-user Virtual reality environment. • Experimental design approach for assessing human behavior (stress, panic, anger, trust, etc.) in emergency evacuation using Multi-user virtual environment. Implementation of character behavior in multi-user Virtual Reality Environment.

Cyber Security and Emerging Technologies Dr. Claude Turner - Leader • BSU designated a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education by DHS and NSA on June 14, 2011 • Goal of this program: to increase cyber security nationwide through education & training • DHS & NSA Designations: • Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAE-IAE) • Center of Academic Excellence in Research (CAE-R) • BSU joins other institutions, such as, Johns Hopkins U., Purdue U. & Princeton U.

Recent Program Ehancements $1M equipment donation from Cisco Inc. to establish an IA and security lab Over $1M in federal grants to build Information Assurance infrastructure Another $1M in federal funds within the last year Established a cyber-security lab in Computer Science dept. Established an online cyber security laboratory in Dept. Management Information Systems Developed four Information Assurance programs
