CORPO NAZIONALE VIGILI DEL FUOCOItalian National Fire Corps • The Italian National Fire Corps belongs to the Ministry of Interior, Department of Fire and Rescue Services and Civil Defense. • A Nationwide organization with more than 30.000 professionals: probably the largest professional Fire and Rescue Organization in the World • More than 1.500 Senior Technical Officers with a degree in Engineering, Architecture, Geology or a High School Technical Diploma in Industrial Processes or Building Constructions. • The Department of Fire and Rescue Services and Civil Defense has 1 Central Directorate in Rome and 16 Regional Directorates. The fire and rescue services are provided by the 101 Provincial Departments with more fire stations. • There is a complete interoperability between each Provincial Department since they are part of the same Organization with same standards, same training, same communication systems, same equipment. • The Vv.F. has the charge for the ARFF and the port fire service too.
