4 years in orbit – June 11 2012 over 1.37 billion LAT events to the FSSC 1949 transients from GBM (939 GRB) 199 LAT collaboration papers (Cat I and Cat II) - been cited nearly 10,000 times 800 refereed papers with new Fermi results or using/interpreting Fermi results and issued over 30 press/web releases. Fermi observatory status • No performance degradation • 0.06% TKR channels disabled (880k total) • TKR noise occupancy better than spec • 1 CAL crystal (out of 1536) with 1 (out of 4) readouts disabled • Smooth operations • < 1% downtime (+ ~15% in SAA) • All photon data are public • 680M photons so far Cumulative LAT Trigger counts D. Gigantic flare from the Crab Nebula A. Abdo et al., Science 331, 739 (2011). From 30 to 100 times brighter than usual. Detected in radio but not detectedby Chandra, even if during the (second) big flare it was pointing the Crab D. Bastieri - INFN Gruppo II
