  1. Unmanned/remotely piloted aircraft systems represent a sector of aviation that will undergo exponential growth over the next few years. The Federal Government has invested heavily within this field for more than a decade, and the industry is expected to create more than 23,000 U.S. jobs over the next 15 years (according to the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International). Current UAS operations are conducted primarily for military or border security purposes but the potential commercial uses of unmanned systems is enormous.
