Why is communication so difficult? • People break down from the loss of words or from not saying what they want to say in a way that is not threatening. • We learn these communication skills from our parents. • When we enter our relationship, we often have unrealistic expectations for our partner and thus, we break down in communication.

How to communicate with your partner • TELL YOUR PARTNER WHAT YOU WANT. • If you want something, just tell your partner • DON'T RELY ON INTUITION. • Do not think you know what your partner wants, just ask. • LISTEN TO YOUR PARTNER • Listen to what your partner says always and, if so, find time to listen to her.
