Atmosphere • Is a mixture of gases that surronds planetary objects.
Black Hole • An invisible area in outer space that light cannot escape from.
Comet Is a celestial body that orbits the sun.
Dark Energy • The energy that expands the universe.
earth • The land we live on. The third planet from the sun.
faculae • The patches on the sun.
GRAVITY • Is the force that pulls objects together. • It makes us not float into outer space.
HALF MOON Looks like a half of a circle. It’s half of a full moon.
Inner planets • Are the planets that are the closest to the sun. Examples are Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars.
jupiter • The largest planet in our solar system. • It is a gas giant.
Kepler-186f • A planet really similar to Earth. • Also about the same size.
Laika • Was the first dog sent into orbit.
MARS • Is the fourth planet away from the sun.
nasa • A space station that sent the first man to the moon. Recently NASA’s facing budget cuts.
OBERON • Is one of the larger moons of Uranus.
pluto • A dwarf planet that’s the farthest thing in our solar system.
quadrantid Is a meotor shower that happens every year through Dec. 8th– Jan. 7th.
Radial motion • Is a motion towards the observer.
STAR • Is a glowing ball of gas. Example: Our Sun is a star.
telescope • Is a device that allows you to see far away objects like planets, moons, stars, etc.

venus • The second closest planet from the Sun. It is the hottest planet in our solar system.

X-RAYS • Are a type of electro-magenticradition.
Yellow dwarf • Are small main sequance stars.
ZODIAC • Is a brand of contillations.
