  3. Requirements • Must be of LAND. (hence, the word LANDscape) • Must include the Foreground, Middleground, Background AND Horizon Line. • LAYERED Colors • NO BLACK- use complementary colors to get shades

  4. Requirements continued… • Tints and shades • Must be able to SEE layers of colors • Must be from your photograph, on-line picture, or magazine picture. (Not from another artist.) • Must fill entire paper

  5. The Process • Do bookwork on color • 4 Color Schemes, using oil pastels (Monochromatic, Warm and Cool Colors, Complementary Colors, and Analogous Colors) • Monet Movie • 3 Thumbnail Sketches, colored in with oil pastels

  7. 4 Color Schemes • Do not copy the colors in my example, please! • Look in book and follow color wheel to figure out each color scheme. • You will ALWAYS have 2 squares for Monochromatic, 3 squares for Analogous, 2 squares for Complementary, and 6 squares for Warm and Cool Colors. (3 squares each.)

  8. The Process, continued… • Check 3 Thumbnails with Mrs. Moore • Pick favorite, do exact same thing, only LARGER. • You are finished! Enjoy the fruit of your labor! Turn into tray.
