Background(how the free trial came about) • The Korean Consortium of North America sponsored an open meeting on Korean databases in 2002 • Two of major three vendors attended & explored the idea of a consortial arrangement for overseas libraries • The vendors decided to offer free trial to all interested for 3-6 months, which eventually extended to a whole year
