Investigate resources to look for the answers. • Print – books, newspapers, magazines, pamphlets, etc. • Online – databases, websites • People – interview experts, authorities, experienced people
Note and evaluate the facts. • Skim resources. • Read closely and take notes in your own words. • Evaluate the information. • Select the most appropriate information. • Include all points of view. • Keep track of your resources.
Develop information into knowledge for presentation. • Decide on the format for your presentation – essay, powerpoint, etc. • Organize your information. • Develop your answers – write, illustrate, graph, etc. Use your research to formulate your answers. Use SPECIFIC details. • Credit your resources with internal citations, bibliography or works cited page.
Score your presentation and search process. • Evaluate your product using established criteria. • Reflect on your searching experience. • Make recommendations for future research.
