SCHOOLS’ DESCRIPTION Colegio Polivalente Santa María de Quilicura. * Located in Quilicura, Santiago. *2000 students approximately. From 40% to 60% of the students are under vulnerability conditions *The major part of the stuff are young teachers. *In teachers’ room they have several rules of coexistence made by themselves. Escuela Particular República Alemana Federal. • Located in La Cisterna, Santiago. • 400 students approximately, in which the 39% to 59% are under vulnerability conditions • The teachers’ staff is a mixture of different ages. • Teachers respect each other and have a cordial relationship.
To conduct this report we are going to compare both realities; Colegio polivalente Santa María de Quilicura and Colegio República Alemana Federal, focusing on the relationship between teachers and teachers in both contexts. METHODOLOGY To support: Descriptive information about school context and teachers. Once the observations were finished and notes were taken, the practitioners will proceed to analyze the gathered information.
LITERATURE REVIEW Elizabeth Hinde states that some of the key factors which influence school culture and thereby students’ development are linked to the relationship teachers build among themselves. Benito, B. argues the idea of the powerful role that teachers play within a meaningful learning process; moreover, how their attitude affects in the development of a harmonic environment Santos Guerra, M. A. contributes with the notion of damage caused by gossip among teachers and among all school staff. Antúnez Serafí declares that cooperative and collaborative teachers’ work has been a field sparsely analyzed. He suggests several methodologies to improve collaborative teachers’ work.

(2006) declares: “Los cotilleos hacen público lo privado: las relaciones íntimas entre los miembros de la comunidad, las acusaciones de trato privilegiado, las acusaciones de ambición, las críticas a las innovaciones… son temas que circulan por los conductos informales de comunicación. La murmuración genera un clima negativo en el Centro ya que siempre se produce, en perjuicio de los ausentes, a través de la censura de sus acciones o intenciones”. (p.36) Benito, B. (n.d) statesthat: “(...) es evidente que cuanto más agradable sea el ambiente laboral, incluyendo las relaciones con compañeros, superiores, etc., más a gusto desarrollarán sus tareas los individuos, incluso supone una buena base para seguir aprendiendo de las experiencias compartidas” (p.6).

CONCLUSION • Is important to have a cordial background. • A positive, supportive and healthy relationship enables a better environment to work. • A cordial environment is beneficial to the relationships that teachers can have and to the whole school atmosphere. • The satisfaction that an affectionate relation can offer makes teachers happier and kind with students.
