Presenting…The OJR website Consistency Memory Load White Space Simplicity Orientation & Navigation Refection Project 2 - Ashley Wertman Exit
Consistency YES!! + Each page that links off of the home page has a consistent format. + Location of links remain in the same place. + Location of email links remain in the bottom left hand corner. + Background and graphics of students are shown as the top margin. Back
Memory Load TOO MUCH!! - Each page has a lot of information on it. - The information is provided in chucks, but the read may have to take time to find it or might not scroll down to read the rest of the information. - There are icons, but they are all the same. Different icons might let the viewer know what the information is about. Back
White Space Good Use of Separation! + The white space in this website is used nicely to separate different types of information into columns (calendar, important information, and links). information calendar links Back
Simplicity As good as it gets! + This website has straight forward information to keep the parents and community up-to-date on what is going on in OJR. + No sounds, graphics, or activity is present on the screens to distract the viewer. - So much info, but schools have so much to share!! Back
Orientation & Navigation (multiple entry & exit points) Easy to Get Around!! + Information for going to another screen is always located on the right hand side of the screen + email options are found at the bottom of the right hand side of the screen with the same icon + No dead ends! Back
Reflection This project was very helping in learning to design my own website. I saw what works and what does not work (visually) when it come to designing. Looking at different components to screen design broke down the whole process of putting together a screen. Back
