Glaverbel glass 109.7·cm Readout electrode: - support:0.3mm tick pcb plate - 16 gold coated strips on each side - pitch: 1.27 mm, 1.00 mm strip width, 1.54 mm gap width Electrode sequence: - 1.1 cooper foil covered glass - cathode - 0.3 nylon fishing line - 1.1 glass plate (supporting the spacers) - 0.3 nylon fishing line - 1.1 glass plate - 0.3 double faced strip readout plate symmetry plane Sizes: glass electrodes: 46 x 900 mm2 readout plate: 0.3 x 46 x 980 mm3 housing: 40 x 80 x 960 mm3 Al box

  3. Last week results: U=- 6.5 kV, 60Co source standard gas mixture: C2F4H2/isobutene/SF6 85/5/10

  4. Where we are? Short term plans Needs | | - the prototype works - the first estimates on the time resolution using 60Co source will be obtained in the next couple of weeks - In beam tests @ GSI-Darmsatdt April-May within FOPI Collaboration - to be discussed - 2 -2.5 GHz scope - one more TDC2228A - two 2249W ADCs - 2-3 CF4000 discriminators  - 30 MeV e - ELBE Rossendorf June 2005
