IPLC 2016 Planning • In Conjunction with 2016 SAE Aerospace Systems & Technology Conference (ASTC - http://www.sae.org/events/astc) • Focused on Systems Integration (VS, Avionics, Etc.) • Usually Sponsored by a First-Tier Supplier (Honeywell, GE, Etc.) • ~400 Attendees held in the Fall of Even Years • Have Fully Engaged on Planning Committee and Pressing for Advantageous Sponsor/Location • Currently Targeting UTC/P&W East Hartford • Backup Plans for RR in Indy • Planning Committee Started (Next Slide) • Need to Get Key Financials/Attendance Figures from AHS to SAE • Advantages for IPLC Include: • Getting in on Ground Floor Planning • Being a Major Player in the Conference (~20%) • Having Three Full Years to Plan and Build Great Conference • Will Help Drive some Significant Propulsion Presence in IPLC

IPLC 2016 Planning Committee • ASTC Organization • Nominally Run Through SAE Propulsion Committee – Ramesh Rajagopalan (ramesh.rajagopalan@pw.utc.com) is Chair • Jim Sherman (jsherman@sae.org) is SAE Event Lead • Archie Thompson (athomson@sae.org) is a Key SAE Contributor Due to his Technical Background in Aerospace • Frank Bokulich (bokulich@sae.org) is our High-Level POC in SAE • Do not Intend to Start Planning in Earnest until Nov 2015 • Will Integrate IPLC Directly into all Planning • IPLC General Chairs (Focused on Big Picture/Lining up Speakers) • Currently Rick Mange & Jack Sokhey (Considering) • Will Need Substantial Help from Others (Mike H./John S.) • IPLC Tech Chairs (Focused on Putting Together Detailed Program) • Andrew Gibson (Chair), Angelo Collins (Deputy) • Will need Substantial Help from Others to be on Committee and Chair Sessions

Education Subcommittee/Student Design • Nothing new.  We're scoring competition proposals now and DaniSoban could use additional judges for the team undergraduate competition with 22 submissions.  None of this year's subjects are V/STOL related.  Next year's RFPs have been approved and none are directly V/STOL related.  We could get one in the following year, 2015-2016,  with abstract submission due nominally before the annual meeting in January.
