  2. Our Volunteers • Men and women from all walks of life • Currently about 400 volunteers • Volunteers work in almost departments within the hospital. • Average of about 2400 volunteer hours per weak

  3. Volunteering Procedures • Attend a volunteer orientation • Select a desired volunteer position • Pick up application form from Volunteer Service office • Fill out application • Sign up for an interview with volunteer supervisor • Ensure all medical and criminal records are submitted

  4. Volunteer Positions • Family Surgical Liaison Volunteer • Family Waiting Area Liaison • Book Cart Volunteer • Special Requests Volunteer • Hospitality and Escort Volunteer • Volunteer Information Ambassador • Flower Shop Assistant • Gift Shop Assistant • Pastoral Care Volunteer

  5. Requirements • Must be 18 years of age • Special student programs for 16 and 17 year olds • Minimum volunteer time • 4 hours per week • 3-months commitment • Immunization and TB test • Background check

  6. Before You Decide To Volunteer • Understand the time commitment to do a particular job • Base your decision on your interest skills and schedule • Know HIPA laws regarding confidentiality • Be willing to learn and to give and receive feedback
