EQ: How does my final narrative piece demonstrate my understanding of narrative elements? • Focus Standard: • ELACC7W3-Write narratives to develop real and imagined experience or events using effective technique • Today I will complete my final narrative draft because it allows me to demonstrate my understanding of the narrative elements.
Activator • Narrative Grading Slip Overview
Work Period • You now have time to continue working on your narrative final draft. • Meanwhile, I will aim to conference with each student to ensure each of you meets all of expectations of the final draft are clear. • REMEMBER, the final draft must be in: • Blue or Black Ink or Typed (if typed printed at home, and submitted to teacher; NO JUMPDRIVES)
Homework • Read for 30 minutes and log it in your reading log. • Turn in your ABRs for every book you finish. • REMEMBER, your narrative stories are due THIS WEDNESDAY!!

EQ: How do I effectively respond to literature? • Focus Standard: • ELACC7RL3- Analyze how particular elements of a story interact • Today I will use my knowledge of narrative elements because I will effectively respond to literature.
Activator • Prepare for your Narrative Final Assessment • Put your belongings under your chair • You will need a pen or pencil, a sheet of notebook paper, and an iRespond remote • You will take this test both on a sheet of paper and on iRespond.
Work Period • Complete your Narrative Final Assessment in iRespond AND on a sheet of notebook paper • Make sure your name, date, and class period is on it • When you finish: • Write your score at the top of your sheet of paper • Quietly read a book and log the pages in your Reading Log
Homework • Read for 30 minutes and log it in your reading log. • Turn in your ABRs for every book you finish. • REMEMBER, your narrative stories are due THIS WEDNESDAY!!

Work Period • FINAL NARRATIVE PRESENTATION!!! • Today volunteers will read their narrative stories aloud to the class. • Reading aloud and presenting in public are part of your standards, so YES everyone has to do this. • Practice listening skills: • Maintain eye contact with the speaker • Remain quiet • On a sheet of paper, write down 1 thing you liked about each story. • If you can’t think of anything, find something about the story to like.
Homework • Read for 30 minutes and log it in your reading log. • Turn in your ABRs for every book you finish. • REMEMBER, your narrative stories were due TODAY!! • Late papers will be accepted until Friday.
