Juror #4 • Have background about social’s life and understand about the condition to grow up that will affect to a child: ‘’ Slums are breeding grounds for criminals. Children from slum backgrounds are potential menaces to society.’’(p. 12) • Rational and logical with all evidence that he gave such as detail about the process of murder or the women saw the boy cross the road after he killed his father).
Juror #4 • Only concern with the facts:‘’ This case is based on as reasonable and logical progression of facts. Let’s keep it there’’ (p.27) • Have a little bit of smug and stubborn:’’ There’ no reason why they can’t be persuaded to do it again’’(p.42) • 8th juror conducts a simple experiment showing that 4th Juror is unable to accurately recall detail of a movie he recently saw, although he wasn’t under an emotional strain. But he still think the boy is guilty by some ‘’ reasonable doubt’’.
Juror #4 • Finally, he changes his vote. Because he having been convinced and swayed towards reasonable doubt by the argument about the second witness and her eyesight. • Juror #4 is second – last juror to change his vote to the boy is not guilty.
Conclusion • Juror #4 is a person who expand all ‘reasonable doubt’’ in ‘’ Twelve Angry Men’’ that reveal and convince to all reader that the boy is not guilty by all argument is logical and rational. • Help people have consideration all our decision. Not hurry when decisive anything if we don’t make sure and clearly understand about it.
