  3. Patient will transmit as directed by your clinic • Routine checks • Post shock or symptomatic checks • Patient can transmit any time of day • Use 911 for emergencies

  4. Battery Compartment 4 AA-size batteries

  5. One end of the phone cord gets inserted here Other end is inserted directly into a phone jack in the wall

  6. To change prefix for dial-out phone number (Example: In hotel, switch to ‘9’) Works with touch-tone or rotary phones (Tone vs. pulse switch)

  7. Power button - Check battery alignment

  8. Monitor battery indicator • Replace as needed

  9. Antenna • Place on top of implantable device • Hold & pause
