Why Document? • Immediate supervisor may not be involved in instruction. • Immediate supervisor may not know your range of activities. • Library director may not be aware of scope of instruction program. • Faculty evaluation committees don’t know what librarians do.

Use ACRL Proficiencies as a Guide • Include examples of lesson plans.
Keep Copies of All Pathfinders • Include hard copies and web pathfinders.
To Summarize. . . • You must care about your review or promotion; no one else will. • Reviews and portfolios are keys to promotions or grade increases. • Demonstrate why you deserve that promotion. • Demonstrate how you effectively accomplished your goals.
