  2. find ring size with sizer Using the size chart, calculate the length of 20 gauge metal needed to make the band. Measuring the metal

  3. Cut a perpendicular cut (90 degree) using the floor shear. • If cut is crooked, clamp metal in a vise, just slightly above the edge of the vise and square to the vise edge • file with a large file.

  4. Anneal the metal • Use curved block or circle pliers to hammer band into a circle • flatten on top where the ends meet • Make sure that the edges line up and that you cannot see daylight in the seam Shape the metal

  5. Place joint side down, flux and solder using two small pieces of solder • Use a mandrel to hammer ring back into round • Sand or file join only until seam is invisible and fire scale and excess solder are gone • File or sand other areas as needed • Polish and finish surface Soldering and shaping
