Jesus Is Both Savior and Lord • As savior, Jesus has provided His perfect sacrifice for our sins • As Lord, the Father has given Him all authority after His resurrection from the dead and ascension to Heaven • Evidence of miracles, prophecies and apostolic eye-witness testimony prove He is both savior and Lord
Evidence For Jesus Being Both Savior and Lord • Mat 26:28 for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins. • Mat 26:32 "But after I have been raised, I will go ahead of you to Galilee."

Obeying Jesus As Savior and Lord • To become a Christian, we must respond by obedient faith to Jesus as Savior and Lord • To accept Him as savior and not Lord will be in vain • To remain as faithful Christians, we must continue to obey Him as savior and Lord
Obeying Jesus As Savior and Lord • Act 2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. • Act 2:42 They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
Following Jesus’ Example • Christians are called to follow Jesus’ example, His attitudes and behavior • Like the Jews who claimed to follow God while becoming unlike Him in character, we too can claim to follow Jesus and be unlike Him in character • We must obey the apostles’ teaching including becoming like Jesus in our character
Jesus Commanded His Disciples To Become Like Him • Mat 10:24 "A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master. • Mat 10:25 "It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher, and the slave like his master. If they have called the head of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign the members of his household!
Jesus Commanded His Disciples To Become Like Him • Mar 10:43 "But it is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant; • Mar 10:44 and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be slave of all. • Mar 10:45 "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."
