Cisco AMT Implementation • Just completed coding of prototype • Both Gateway and Relay functionality • draft-ietf-mboned-auto-multicast-06 • IPv4 and IPv6 • Relay side supports sourcing (via PIM) • Relay side supports ASM and SSM joining Gateways • No sourcing from Gateway side support • SSM receiving from Gateway side only supported • Default Anycast Prefix • IPv4 154.17.0.0/16 • IPv6 2002:9a11::/32 • Currently unit testing MBONED WG

  5. Cisco AMT Implementation • Plan is to distribute one source-code reference to all cisco OSs • Plan is to deliver UDP replication in ASICs • Using 0-based UDP checksums • No need for GRE option anymore MBONED WG

  6. Milestones • By next IETF: • Do interoperability with FreeBSD and Microsoft implementation based on –06 draft • Get box to Microsoft • Close on IANA assigned Anycast Prefix and AS number • Start limited deployment pilot • Software switching only MBONED WG
