Program Context 2. The Parenting Education/CBET program is Oakland is unique in the state of California. -focus on supporting K-12 -includes CBET (typically under ESL) CBET= ESL + Parenting Education
“How” of Model Standards Because of the program’s uniqueness in California and its stage of development,model standards are used to guide program development. • What should we be offering? • How does it fit into a larger context/picture?
“What” of Model Standards What are your outcomes for being a parent? How do you assess/measure that? Have you assessed your parenting skills? Your success as parent? Can that be standardized for all parents?
