  2. Malocclusion Definition Any deviation from normal occlusion • Malocclusion divided into: • Class I • Class II division 1 • Class II division 2 • Class III

  3. Class I Malocclusion • Definition A malocclusion where the lower incisor edges occlude on or directly beneath the cingulum plateau of the upper incisors

  4. Class II div 1 Malocclusion • Definition A malocclusion in which the lower incisal edges lie posterior to the cingulum plateau of the upper incisors, the OJ is increased and the upper incisors are normally inclined or proclined

  5. Class II div 2 Malocclusion • Definition A malocclusion where the lower incisal edges occlude posterior to the cingulum plateau of the upper incisors and the upper central incisors are retroclined

  6. Class III Malocclusion • Definition A malocclusion where 2 or more of the lower incisal edges occlude anterior to the cingulum plateau of the upper incisors.
