To develop a ‘brand’ and associated social marketing campaign to improve mainstream health & social care for adults with learning disabilities.
The Vision Utilise the Purple Star as a ‘kite mark’’ to represent high quality health and social care provision for people with learning disabilities

Purple Star PromiseWe provide the best service to people with learning disabilities by:- • Offering excellent customer care • Recognising individuals who may need “reasonable • adjustments” • Providing an individual care plan • Using the Purple Folder • Appointing a Learning Disability Champion • Giving expert help and advice • T.E.A.C.H training all our staff • Working in partnership with others to support individuals • Producing accessible information, signage and displays • Ensuring an accessible environment • Being alert to safeguarding concerns and reporting them
What will the Purple star represent? Staff who are T.E.A.C.H. competency based trained • Evaluated to ensure that they are delivering a defined quality service • Offering an equitable reasonably adjusted service • Receive regularly monitoring to ensure standards • Have an identified champion with links to the CLDT
What will it look like? • Display Logo and be signed up to the “quality platform” • Signage, flagging & Purple Folder • Private environment & time – consultation • Accessible communication including display board • Range of intervention and support i.e. dosettes • Staff-LD Champion • Link & contact with CLDT
