How he became deaf. Frank P. Hochman was the first born deaf American to become a physician. He was born on December 26th, 1935, where he was an infant deaf born baby. £: HE DEAF BORN.
Where he is from. Hochman is from New York City. £: NEW YORK CITY FROM HOCHMAN. Then went to Piscataway, New Jersey to go to college for medical terminology. £: P-I-S-C-A-T-A-W-A-Y, N-E-W J-E-R-S-E-Y WENT HE COLLEGE.
Why he is famous. Because he was the first deaf African American to become a physician. £: HE FIRST AFRICAN AMERICAN PHYSICIAN.
His family. For the first three years of his life, his parents traveled from doctor to doctor, from clinic to clinic, and from hospital to hospital trying unsuccessfully to find a "cure" or "treatment" for his condition. £: PARENTS TRAVEL HOCHMAN FINDING CURE.
