  1. RECYCLING ROCKS!!!! KERI PORTER WINGATE OAKS CENTER

  2. UPCYCLING TIRES INTO PLANTERS FOR OUR SCHOOL!!! My students and I recycle (upcycle) tires and we make them into beautiful planters! We prime, paint and decorate them into beautiful pieces of art! They become planters and we place them in our school courtyards.

  3. SCHOOL BEAUTIFICATION!!! Tires make great planters!!!

  4. BOTTLE CAP ART We collect bottle caps in our recycling center and then we make beautiful pieces of art with them. Most caps do not break down so we are upcycling them in a positive way!!!

  5. Ornaments made from bottle caps are amazing!!!

  6. Rain Barrel CRAZY!!! My students and I clean out food drum barrels and repurpose them into rain barrels for our school and community! They are AWESOME!!! Water conservation is very important!!!

  7. Teaching my students to become stewards of their environment is very important to me!! WE ALL CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR WORLD BY UPCYCLING AND REUSING AND RECYCLING!!!

  8. STEPPING STONE REBEAUTIFICATION We took every old stone from our campus (100 or so) and made them into fabulous mosaic pieces of art which we can see all around us reminding us of the beauty we helped create.

  9. CREATIVITY AND UPCYCLING!!!!! A BOTTLE CAP STEPPING STONE THAT WE MADE FROM AN OLD STONE ON OUR CAMPUS!!!!

  10. RECYCLED WATER BOTTLES INTO ART!!!! WHO EVER KNEW THAT WATER BOTTLES COULD BE SO UNBELIEVABLE!! MY STUDENTS AND I HAVE HAD A BALL MAKING THEM INTO ART TO SHARE WITH OUR COMMUNITY.

  11. GORGEOUS FLOWERS CREATED FROM BOTTLES!!! WHO KNEW THEY COULD BE SO FUN AND PRETTY????

  12. BOXES BEING UPCYCLED!!!!! OUR HAUNTED HOUSE VILLAGE WAS AMAZING AND FUN TO MAKE AS MY STUDENTS LOVED TRANSFORMING PLAIN BOXES INTO A HAUNTED VILLAGE. THEY ALSO MADE LETTERS FOR THE ART ROOM!!!

  13. OLD FABRIC INTO SOMETHING NEW FOR THE SHELTER ANIMALS!!! MY STUDENTS AND I LOVE ANIMALS AND GIVING BACK. WE WERE SO EXCITED TO GO TO THE HUMANE SOCIETY TO DROP OFF OVER 100 BANDANAS AND BOXES FOR THE PUPPIES AND KITTENS!

  14. RECYCLED SUPPLIES INTO SOMETHING NEW!!! OLD CRAYONS BECOME NEW AND OLD SUPPLIES BECOME COOL ORNAMENTS!!!!! OLD FABRIC BECOMES PILLOWS FOR STUDENTS TO STUFF WITH BATTING!!!!

  15. RECYCLED PROJECTS Paper mache mascot for our school from newspaper!!!! Pillows made from recycled muslin and batting and artwork on the walls made from old sheets we cut up!!!

  16. HELPING THE COMMUNITY Painting drums on the port to beautify the area and upcycle the drums. Helping the community is very important. My family and I paint the drums every year.

  17. REDUCE, REUSE AND RECYCLE!!!!! ITS WHAT I LOVE TO DO AND ITS WHAT MY STUDENTS LOVE DOING WITH ME. TOGETHER WE ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE!!
