Venture Introduction • a growing operation that started by making treats for my own horses and then was approached by a friend to sell them in her store. • From there it grew into being sold in 2 sizes with 10 or 20 treats for in store packaging and/or buying them in bulk directly. • The opportunity is to get a better idea of where this venture could possibly expand into and other possibilities that can be gained.

  3. The TEAM Responsibilities of team: • Elinor Gardner(Student): plan, design, and execute plan. • Peter Gardner(Small Business Owner): suggested strategies & feedback • Peter Miller (Professor): provide feedback and suggestion • Stephen Wong & Steven Greig(Student Advisor): provide suggestions

Activities • Create a well modified horse treat that will be appealing to horses for treat rewards or for the owner to spoil their horse • Design a logo and effective packaging • Create a social media page on facebook • Research existing similar product and see how they are doing in the market • Regulations for the product to be released in the market • Determine a market (stores) that would be willing to carry the product

  5. End Product • To have a variety of styles in horse treats from flavours & sizes • A plan to maintain treat supply to stores and keep the treat line funded and managed. • All information & paper works for regulations has been collected • Promotion through Social Media was proven to be successful • Profit of $200 in 4 weeks
