DSP IC/IP Design for 3GPP LTE Wireless Communications DSP IC/IP Design for 3GPP LTE Wireless Communications 黃元豪助理教授研究成果 @Low-Complexity Space-Time Trellis Viterbi/Turbo Decoder @Low-Complexity Space-Time Trellis Viterbi/Turbo Decoder • • A geometric branch metrics calculation method is proposed to reduce the computation complexity in the Viterbi decoder algorithm for space-time trellis code (STTC) decoding. • • A great computational gain can be achieved with advantages in large number of antenna, high-order modulation, and high mobility with only a sacrifice of 3dB loss in coding gain. Branch Metric Calculation @Power/Bandwidth-Aware Reconfigurable FFT for OFDMA @Power/Bandwidth-Aware Reconfigurable FFT for OFDMA • Power-aware strategy is used to reduce the bit requirements in the MSB part. • Bandwidth-awave strategy is used to reduce the bit requirements in the LSDB part.
