  3. Bride’s Preparation • We are betrothed to Christ (2 Cor 11:2) • Bride prepares & waits (Titus 2:10b, 11-13) • Groom prepares & returns (John 14:3; 1 Thess 4)

  4. Bride’s Purity • Christ purified His bride (Rom 5:8; Eph 5:25-27) • Sheresists infidelity (Jas 4:7; Jer 2:32) • Sheloves Him only (2 Cor 11:2-3) • Sheprepares for His arrival (Matt 25; Rev 19:7-8)

  5. Uniting with Christ • The Spirit & the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely (Rev 22:17). • If we have been unitedtogether in the likeness of His death [baptism, vss. 3-4], certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection (Rom 5:5).
