Adding time V.Duk • TR data (Run 390 – the best one): • Select slab #j (j=0−127) • Divide the slab #j into 16 intersection points (IP) • For each IPjj (jj=1−16) fit TIP−Tcedar (TIP – uncorrected time) by the gaussian (<TIP>, σ) • Fit <TIP> vsIPjj-coordinate (rIP) by the function F0 = kt*rIP + bt • Remember time function Ft = kt*rIP • Fit σvsrIP by Fσt = kσt*rIP + bσt <TIP> - average time for IPjj Subtract IP intrinsic resolution 5ns/m*0.09m/√12 ~ 0.13ns ??? • Digitization code: • Get MC track and calculate rIP • Calculate time Ft = k*rIP • Add smearing according to Fσt = kσt*rIP+ bσt 4

Pictures for slab0 V.Duk T0 as a function of (IDX - 64) σ as a function of IDX red – without time corrections blue – with time corrections TOT as a function of IDX • Different slope because of different slab width • light propagation in the slab: 0.82ns/slab / 9.9cm/slab ~ 8ns/m (slightly overestimated because of slewing effect) • Worse resolution for small ID (statistics) • Worse resolution for large ID (light attenuation) • Hard to fit the dependence Take average value 7
