  1. Julian Thomson’s Act Local Project How a boy (and his family) used a Rainbow Loom to help Frisco Mrs. Holland’s Third Grade Class November 11, 2013

  2. JAZI Bands are made! My family and I decided to make rubber band bracelets to donate to Frisco Family Services. Frisco Family Services has a store called Frisco Resale that takes donations. They sell a lot of things like clothes, dishes, books and jewelry. Frisco Family Services uses the money that they make to help local families get food, clothes, dishes, and skills.

  3. We spent about three weeks making the bracelets. We call them JAZI bands because our names are Julian, Addison and Zoe. The “I” stands for Incorporated. It took a lot more work than we thought! We needed looms, hooks, c-clips and LOTS of rubber bands to make the bracelets. We also had to watch some videos and ask our friends so we could learn how to make bracelets with different designs.

  4. The Finished Product! • We made packages of two bracelets and made labels for them so that they would look nice for the store to sell. • Hopefully people will want to buy them, or maybe they can give them to kids who might not have bracelets. That could make them smile. • We had a LOT of bracelets, but we wanted to donate a total of 50 packages, so we’re still working. • If the store sells all 50 packages for at least $2.00 a piece, they will make $100.00.

  5. Keep up the good work!We worked really hard to make the bracelets. It made me feel good that I was helping my community. I hope that everyone will keep doing things to help when this project is over. It is a good thing to do and we should do anything that we can to help others. Even just a little thing like rubber band bracelets can bring joy and money to people who don’t have any. I would like it if someone helped me when I needed it.
