  2. Windows vs Mac • This is one of the places where the Mac and Windows procedures are different. We’ll look at the Windows method first, then the Mac • There are videos for both Windows and Mac; links are posted

The Developer Tab (Windows) • To work with VBA, you will need to have the Developer tab visible on the ribbon • This is one of the things that differs in Excel 2007 and Excel 2010 • In Excel 2007, push the options button and check the box that says “Show Developer tab in ribbon” (picture on next slide) • In Excel 2010, right click on the tab part of the ribbon, choose the “Customize Ribbon” option, and check the box to show the developer tab

  6. Show the Developer Tab (Mac) • There are actually several ways to do this; this is one I like • Under the Excel menu, choose Preferences • In the window that appears, choose Ribbon • In the customize screen that comes up in the middle of the resulting window, check Developer
