AphasiaBank Research Study • Purpose: This study is designed to create an international multimedia database for the study of language and communication in aphasia • Participants: Persons with aphasia needed! • Tasks: Describe and name pictures, tell stories, tell how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, repeat words and sentences, answer questions, follow directions • Important: You will be videotape recorded while you are doing these tasks. The videotape (along with information about your stroke) will be put in a web-based (Internet) database. The database (called AphasiaBank) is password protected and only language researchers have access to it.
