Tasking & Coordination Responsibilities • Maintain an in depth understanding of the current operating context/environment (political, strategic, operational and financial). • Provide governance, leadership and direction to the Division’s operational activities. • Link operational activity to specific strategic goals. • Identify, prioritise and direct tactical intelligence requirements in support of the Division’s operational activities and wider business requirements. • Initiate problem analysis to inform potential initiatives and make decisions on proposals for initiatives made by the Division’s business units and others; and • Be responsible for approving the annual Divisional Control Strategy.

INZ Engagement in the Pacific • PRIIP/INTEL Capacity Development Programme is aimed at: • Pacific Region Immigration Identity Project – Intelligence Officer Training • Three years funding to undertake the consolidated phase of PRIIP/INTEL for Pacific Island Immigration, Customs and Police officers. • Assisting Pacific Island Countries (PIC) law enforcement agencies to detect, measure, investigate prosecute and prevent the use of identity crime in their jurisdictions. • Consolidated phase builds on the work undertaken in the last three years with the objective of ensuring training is enhanced in a sustainable way.
