  2. 一、概况 • 美国《工程索引》（The Engineering Index,EI）于1884年10月创刊，是一种报道有关工程技术方面文献的检索工具，EI是国际权威检索系统，是世界著名的四大检索工具之一。 • EI Village 2是EI公司开发的综合信息服务工程信息村。它收录了计算机和数据处理、应用物理、电子和通信、土木工程和机械工程等方面的文献。

  3. 二、数据库检索方式 EI Village提供了： Quick Search（快速检索） Expert Search（专家检索） Thesaurus Search(叙词检索) 其中“Quick Search”是系统默认的检索方式。

  6. 三、EI检索示例： 例：检索2008—2012年EI 收录有关人脸识别方面的期刊论文。 • 关键词翻译：人脸：face； • 识别：recognise 、recognition或identify、identification。 • 思考：同词根选哪一个词：recognise 、 recognition； identify 、 identification • 由于系统提供了“Autostemming off”（自动取词根）功能。 • 限定：时间、文献类型
