  1. An Effective Walk!

  2. An Effective Walk, pt. 2 The Solution for Short! Romans 12:1-2

  3. The Solution for Short! Message Thesis: Growth is expected in the life of believers. Message objective: To understand what it takes to develop a mature and effective walk.

  4. Effective: Producing a decided, decisive, or desired effect or result. An effective walk is a walk that gets the desired results. It also means to mature, to grow, and move forward in our walk with God.

  5. Maturity: Maturity is the quality or state of being mature. It means full development. To become fully developed. Full-Complete in detail. Having all distinguishing characteristics.

  6. We begin to mature in 3 ways: • How we think. (convictions) • How we feel. (character) • How we act. (conduct)

  7. Romans 12:1-2 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

  8. Presenting Ourselves: A.   What we are to offer (12:1) : Bodily dedication. • 1.     The reason for this (12:1b): It is to be done because we have experienced God’s mercy. • 2.     The results of this (12:1a): God is pleased if we offer a living and holy sacrifice. B.     What we are to avoid (12:2a): Worldly contamination. C.     What we are to achieve (12:2b): Godly transformation.
